Our story starts on sunny summer 5+ years ago. As a family we love the beach and holidays but it never quite seemed enough. After one holiday, after packing, un-packing, organising time off, saving and getting us all there. We got to spend one week a year doing what makes us happy. After we got back we joked we needed another holiday. After a wind down wine my partner Mike and I started dreaming about how we could swap rented walls for floating home. Mad idea!!! 
If this ever happens I personally want to become an online English teacher. I would also like to run a beach activity buisness from the boat. My background is in child care. I have worked with children in early years and special needs for over 20 something years. This is our life dream. Think rocking up at any bay and being able to offer creative activities, toys and games to keep little ones occupied on a safe space on the beach or near depending on reatrictions and council permissions. You see trampolines, water sports, kids clubs etc but not the play and learn activity area run from a boat.

I also want to teach English online and am currently looking into that. Please see video link of a class I produced during lockdown, while pregnant with twins, it was for the nursery I worked for at the time.

This is what made me think about online lessons in my futur. So many things to accomplish and we are only at the very tip of the beginning. Our dream seems so far away it breaks my heart, but we will just keep swimming. 

 

To do any of these things we need money. It apparently really does make the world go round. So this website is to document the highs and lows of us eventually reaching some of our goals. Dream big and pay it forward is our moto.

So hear we are. The website is up. The aim and feel to the pages introduced. Honest content. I am no influencer or big buisness woman. I am just a mum and a partner trying to build something different for my children. COVID made me realise this more than ever. In the UK we were locked down for practicly 2 year. I was heverly pregnant with twins. (That's were the boat deposit went the first time) I was so scared and we started to focuse on what we wanted out of life. I want to love the UK again. I want to show my children the world through a unique lense. With the cost of living crippling us we have decided enough is enough. So the journey to the Stubborn Glitch (eventual boat name we hope) was born. Wish us luck better yet join us to follow how far we get in this mad pipe dream of ours. It could take years but then I am a Stubborn Glitch. (Bad play on words extra with each blog 😁.)
